Mar. 27 - The Easter break has arrived in Denmark. A lot of Danes took the first three days of this week off to leverage the three national Easter holidays (Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Monday) into a 10-day vacation.
This moron is not, alas, among them.
It’s interesting that here on the eve of a celebration of resurrection—of one man rising from the dead—we can also celebrate the rise of millions of men around the world.
That’s because it was on this date in 1988 that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the drug Viagra.
There had been stiff opposition throughout the approval process, but firm evidence of the drug’s efficacy eventually overcame even the hardest skepticism. Pfizer stocks have been rising ever since, but it may have gone to their head: they got cocky with their covid vaccine and—argh, enough with the stupid double entendres. Thank god Viagra Day only comes once a year.
March 27 is the birthday of Mariah Carey (1970), Quentin Tarantino (1963), Michael York (1942), Sarah Vaughan (1924), Gloria Swanson (1899), and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (1886).
It is not the birthday of Delilah Humphrey.
Today is Resistance Day in Burma. Celebrate by spending the day at Ohm.
